The Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) is intended for individuals with a baccalaureate degree or higher in another discipline. The program is designed for the person seeking a new career in nursing. Students enroll bi-annually in this four-term (16 month) program. The rigorous curriculum provides students with a general foundation in nursing and the skills necessary to serve in leadership positions. Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and are prepared for the role as a clinical nurse. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for registered nursing (RN) licensure. Requirements for the California Public Health Nurse Certificate (PHN) are embedded into the curriculum. Clinical teaching sites with various healthcare organizations and community partners are located throughout Southern California.
