Graduate Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship

Social entrepreneurship is an emerging field that combines business, innovation, and entrepreneurial approaches to address pressing social and environmental challenges. This graduate-level certificate program provides a unique opportunity to explore diverse organizational models—non-profit, for-profit, hybrid entities, and innovative ownership structures like Employee Stock Ownership Plans, co-ops, and Benefit Corporations—all aimed at creating sustainable social impact.

Designed for early- and mid-career professionals, the Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship offers a focused, flexible, and practical curriculum. Students will gain the skills and tools necessary to design innovative business models, tackle systemic social problems, and build resilient, purpose-driven organizations.

The three core courses and practicum are structured to build upon one another, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. The certificate can be completed in as little as two semesters, and options are available for both current graduate students and non-degree professionals.
