In collaboration with community partners, this practicum is focused on applying the nursing process, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based direct patient care to adult and older adult patients with common medical-surgical conditions in the clinical setting. It focuses on hands-on practice and the development of clinical judgment through patient assessment, prioritization, care planning, medication administration, and patient education. The concepts of clinical judgment, compassionate care, communication, evidence-based practice, social determinants of health, diversity, equity, and inclusion are emphasized. Prerequisites: None
