This course will provide students with an overview of what business applications are currently available, how they can be purchased and delivered and how they can help organizations process transactions and gain competitive advantage. Particular emphasis will be given to accounting software and ERP systems, but other applications such as customer relationship management software, supply chain management software and manufacturing-oriented packages will also be discussed with a focus on how they can integrate with and maximize the value of accounting software. Prerequisite: ACCT 303.
